Geoff and Vicki Toomby have a unique way of establishing relationships with both animals and people, based on mutual trust and respect.

They have successfully delivered skills development programs for individuals and their horses, as well as training for working and living in the rural industry, using their unique skills to help others be the best they can be.

The names Geoff and Vicki Toomby are very well known throughout the Rural Industry across Northern Queensland, Northern Territory and into the top end of Western Australia. Employers in these areas often contact the Toomby's in hopes of securing a 'stand-out' individual that may have passed through their gates.

These employers aren't just seeking a body to fill a spot on their worksite, their keen to find someone who fits in with their team, follows instruction and just jumps in to get the work done!

The Skills4Life Program has been created with this in mind. For 7 days and 7 nights, participants will live and experience life on a working cattle property. This is a great way to gain on-the-job experience to learn and understand the importance of working as part of a team, developing the core skills they need to be the best they can be in both their career and personal lives.

This does not form part of the Nationally Accredited Training delivered at Toomby Horsemanship Ultimate Rural Training Centre. Students who successfully complete this program will attain a Skills4Life Certificate of Attendance, recognising their participation and understanding of the core skills employers across all industries are seeking, also known as 'soft skills' or 'employability skills'.

This is not a Government Funded Program. Participants will be required to pay an attendance fee which helps cover the cost of accomodation, meals and materials used.

Cost: For the launch of this new training program, Team Toomby is offering a special introductory rate to of $550 per participant.

Please Note: Horse riding does not form part of this program. This decision has been made with consideration to the safety and well-being of all Participants. Wonderland Station is home to approximately 60 Working Horses, which require specialised training to ride.

What to Wear: participants will be required to wear suitable outdoor work clothing: eg. long pants/ jeans, long sleeved shirts/ work polos, hat or cap (worn correctly) and fully enclosed shoes. Riding boots can be worn, steel capped boots are not suitable.
